It's the start of a new NFL football season, and that always brings a ray of sunshine for Detroit Lions fans. Maybe this will be the year we actually make it to the playoffs, right?

Not to get our hopes up, but many NFL analysts think this could be a solid year for the Lions. One analyst even has the team sitting high in the NFC North rankings.

Sports Illustrated’s Gary Gramling recently predicted how he thinks each team in the NFC North will finish this season. At No. 1 in the division, Gramling, not surprisingly, has the Green Bay Packers with an 11-6 record. Then, in second place in the NFC North, he actually has the Lions! He predicts we will round out the 2022 season with a 9-8 record. Next in the NFC North is the Vikings at No. 3. We're going to be better than the Vikings? That's pretty wild. Then, the Vikings are followed by the Bears at No. 4. He only thinks the Bears will win three games this season. Ouch. Let's hope he's correct about the Lions' upcoming victories!
