Big Jim’s House

Weekdays 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

It is so funny that this video showed up on the feed this morning, I had something exactly like this happen to me while driving into work this morning.

First let’s start with what happened to me. While driving into work on I-96 this morning I looked in the mirror and realized there was a cop driving the same speed next to me. After a few seconds he flashed his bright lights at me. After having his bright lights on for a few seconds he sped up and went to pull someone else over. If I am being honest, this clip below triggered me a little bit.

It seems that cops are driving faster and faster on our roads with no care for the people driving around them. I have always known that they are the “kings” of the road and like to drive fast, but it seems to be getting out of control.

Here is the video I was talking about, an officer with a message to “regular” drivers out there.

MORE OF MY THOUGHTS:

I get that sometimes the officer has a place they need to get to fast but that is what their lights are for! This officer is basically telling people if you don’t want to get pulled over for anything she can think of then move. I am sorry but it seems a little dangerous to me! If you see a cop flying up behind you but the other lanes are busy, what are you supposed to do? Merge over and risk hitting another driver?

When it’s all said and done, I respect the hell out of police officers, I have a few in my family. I understand it is one of the hardest jobs in the world and I worry about the cops in my family every time they go to work.
