FIVE TACO REFERENCES IN MOVIES
1. The Breakfast Club – When Allison Reynolds says she doesn’t like tacos because “they’re messy,” Claire Standish retorts, “Well, life is messy.”
2. Napoleon Dynamite – When Napoleon’s friend Pedro asks him what his favorite food is, Napoleon responds, “Tacos, from a taco stand by my house.”
3. Superbad – When Seth and Evan are trying to figure out what to get their friend Fogell for his birthday, they settle on tacos because “everyone likes tacos.”
4. The Office – In the episode “The Dundies,” Michael Scott gives an award for “Best Taco” to Pam Beesly, even though she doesn’t even like tacos.
5. Parks and Recreation – In the episode “Ron and Tammy,” Ron Swanson gets into a heated argument with his ex-wife Tammy over the fact that she put ground beef in their tacos instead of steak.
Of course our friends at Taco Bell are bringing back another item – could be the return of the double decker taco!
