Did You Know There’s A Rambo Town?
“Rambo Town” is a small city in Canada. No really.
Hollywood comes to Hope, British Columbia every year. But it’s not the big names or the luxury that the town is known for – it’s the fact that “First Blood” was filmed there 40 years ago. And the town is so proud of this distinction that they’ve erected TWO statues…one of John Rambo, and now a statue of Sheriff Will Teasle – the man who first pursued Rambo when he came to town. The statue is a popular tourist destination, and the town gets about 10-15k visitors a year who come to see it. And while some might say that the statue is a bit of an eyesore, the locals are proud of their small town’s place in movie history.
How many people have seen the alternate ending to Rambo First Blood? The answer might surprise you. While the movie was released in 1982, the alternate ending wasn’t shown until years later.
