Here it is - NEW music from Queen with Freddie Mercury!

Rumors about the announcement first sparked last week after a series of promotional billboards were spotted around the world. Simply stating “Queen – Face It Alone”, the advertisements also showed a photograph of the late singer and a QR code that, when scanned, played a brief snippet of the upcoming track.

Billboards have been spotted in London, Canada, Mexico, Japan and more. Last Friday (7 October) the band added to the anticipation, taking to Twitter to advise fans to keep an eye out for a new announcement.

Upon hearing the news, many Queen fans took to social media to share their excitement. One fan tweeted, "I can't wait to hear this! I miss Freddie's voice so much." Another said, "This is going to be emotional but I'm so ready for it."

Back in June Roger Taylor and Brian May discussed their find:

"Yes, we did find a little gem from Freddie, that we’d kind of forgotten about. And it was.

"It's wonderful. Actually, it was real discovery. It's from the 'Miracle Sessions', and I think it's going to be out in September."

His bandmate described the song as "beautiful" and touching", and explained how they ended up bringing it together.

Brian added: "It was kind of hiding in plain sight. We looked at it many times and thought, oh no, we can't really rescue that.

"But in fact, we went in there again and our wonderful engineering team went, okay, we can do this and this. It's like kind of stitching bits together."

It's seems so strange announcing new music from Queen with Freddie...but it's also a gift for music fans around the world.
