RIP Dennis Miller of Miller’s
Dearborn is mourning the loss of one of its own. Dennis Miller, co-owner of the beloved Miller’s Bar, passed away on Thursday at the age of 74. A Dearborn native, Miller was known for his quick wit and warm personality. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
On a personal note, Millers is that place I wind up at every time I would do an event at Ford. Going to pick up someone at the airport? My wife knew that I would wind up at Miller‘s and grab a burger and a beer…(cash only of course). When I had friends fly in from all over the country for the Detroit Grand Prix we’d turn up at Miller’s for a burger. Dennis was a great guy. Old school to the core and I’ll miss him greatly. – Jim
Miller’s Bar has been a Dearborn staple since his uncle opened up in 1941. It is well known for those amazing burgers (cash only) and friendly atmosphere.
Miller and his family have been involved in the bar since it opened in 1941. In a Facebook post, his wife Dorene and brother Mark said: “We will all miss him more than words can express.” The bar will be closed on Monday for Dennis’ funeral service but will reopen on Tuesday. Dearborn residents are invited to come and raise a glass to Dennis Miller – a man who made Dearborn feel like home.
