Bird Head Megan

I think Megan has been here too long….this place is really going to the birds!

This poor lady had a run in with a wild animal right in her living room, Well actually right in her chimney.

Watch as this woman pulls a Vulture from her wood burning stove's chimney.

As the lady mentioned, at first her and her family thought it was a squirrel or rabbit or some type of rodent. But when they finally got it freed from the chimney they realized it was a vulture.

Here is the TikTok video:

Now time for a quick story for you. When I was maybe 8 or 9 years old, I got home from school and noticed my dad laying his head inside the fireplace. When I went over to see what was going on I could hear the sounds of birds in the chimney. I asked my dad what he was going to do, he told me to go grab my BB gun and my uncle would be over in a few minutes.

Even as a young kid, I knew what they were about to try. Once my uncle got there, they took turns shooting the BB gun up into the chimney. As the time passed, bird after bird came falling down from the celling. Now I remember thinking, there had to be a better way to get them out of there, but I was also super excited about it because it was like hunting.

Looking back now, I am sure there are a few people who wouldn't be down with what they did but it was the early 90s and I don't know how else they would have gotten them out.

Overall, I think this lady handled the situation best she could. She didn't hurt herself or the vulture.

Now this bonus story is not an animal getting stuck.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
