Detroit Lions Looking to Do Something They Haven’t Since 2017
I’ve kind of had to pinch myself the past two weekends. Both of my teams, the MSU Spartans and Detroit Lions, have pulled off wins for two consecutive weekends. That’s a big difference from earlier in the season. Yes, I’m a happy camper.
Now, the Detroit Lions are heading into a week 11 game against the New York Giants. All eyes will be on the team to see if they can pull off three consecutive wins in a row.
If the Lions do win a third consecutive game in a row this Sunday, it will mark the first time they have done so since 2017 during Jim Caldwell’s final season as the Lions head coach. Side note: Why did we let him go? I was a big Caldwell fan.
Back in 2017, Detroit triumphed over Green Bay 30-17, followed by Cleveland 38-24 and then the Bears 27-24. The New York Giants are 7-2 right now, so it seems unlikely that we could pull off a win. But, upsets happen. I mean, look at the Eagles falling to the Washington Commanders. If you’re a football fan, listen to “The Squad with Anne Erickson” on Apple Podcasts HERE, Spotify HERE and below.
