A Detroit Lions rookie has won the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award this week, making it two Lions rookies scoring the honor in the past three weeks.

Safety Kerby Joseph picked up the award after his two-interception showing against the Green Bay Packers a few weeks ago. Now, defensive end Aidan Hutchinson has scored the award following the team's 31-18 victory over the New York Giants.

During the Giants game, Hutchinson had a super impressive fingertip interception, a major fumble recovery and three tackles. His performance helped solidify the Lions' win.

We're rooting for Hutchinson to win Rookie of the Week, too. Time will tell on that one, but for now, we congratulate him on being named NFC Defensive Player of the Week. What do you think of the Lions' current season? Reach out to me on Facebook and let me know.
