TSA’s Top 10 Weirdest Seized Items
We love these lists – but I gotta confess, didn’t know the TSA had time to do videos like this. Not bad (we like the puns).

We did some research and found more “Interesting” items that people tried to take on airplanes:
1. A Passenger Tried to Take an “Explosive Device” Through Security… Or So They Thought. One passenger was stopped at security when an explosive device appeared on their X-ray machine. However, it turned out to be a homemade birthday cake in the shape of a grenade! While it was surely a creative attempt, this type of cake is not allowed on flights.
2. A Passenger Was Caught With a Live Catfish in His Carry-on Bag. Who knows what this guy was planning to do with his carry-on catfish? The fish was discovered during routine screening and had to be left behind because live animals are not allowed on board planes.
3. A Dead Frog Was Found in Someone’s Luggage… Again, who knows why someone would bring a dead frog onto an airplane? According to reports, the frog was discovered during its owner’s bag check and had to be disposed of properly before boarding could continue as planned.
4. An Entire Suitcase Full Of Fake Vomit! Yes, you read that right—fake vomit! This fake vomit was created for practical jokes but had no place aboard a plane; fortunately for other passengers it was caught in time before anyone got fooled by this gag item!
5. An Axe Was Discovered During Screening… Thankfully, this axe wasn’t meant for any nefarious purpose—it belonged to an 8-year old girl who wanted to send it as a gift! Unfortunately for her, axes are considered weapons and therefore aren’t allowed on flights; she sadly had to part ways with her axe until she can find another way to get it across country safely without risking any issues with TSA agents or airline policies.
6. A Passenger Tried To Bring On Multiple Knives… This one should go without saying—knives are considered weapons and aren’t allowed through airport security checkpoints or onboard airplanes! This passenger learned that lesson firsthand after attempting to bring multiple knives onto their flight; these items were confiscated immediately upon discovery and held until they were able to retrieve them from security after their flight departed (or they could have just mailed them home).
As you can see, some people think they can get away with taking almost anything through airport security – even if it’s against the rules! Fortunately for us all, there are diligent TSA agents watching our backs (and suitcases) while we travel through airports around the world.. So if you’re ever tempted by those novelty items or unusual souvenirs while on vacation – remember these stories and leave them behind so everyone can enjoy their trip safely and securely!
