Can Dogs Talk? No? Alright folks, I've got something to say about our four-legged friends that's got me all kinds of confused and bewildered. I've seen a TikTok video floating around the interwebs of Lucy Webb's dog seemingly saying "Where are you going?" and I've got to say, I'm at a loss for words. I mean, can dogs really talk? It's something that's been the topic of discussion for ages and now, with this video, it's got me thinking maybe, just maybe, our furry friends can actually communicate with us in a more advanced way than just barking or growling.

But, let's not forget, Hollywood has a long history of giving dogs the gift of speech on the big screen. Take a look at these five examples:

FIVE MOVIES WITH DOGS THAT TALK (MAYBE)

  1. Air Bud - a golden retriever who can play basketball? Come on!
  2. Turner and Hooch - who could forget Tom Hanks' partner in crime solving, who just so happened to be a slobbering, drooling pooch.
  3. Scooby-Doo - this classic cartoon dog is the epitome of talking dogs in the entertainment world.
  4. Bolt - a super-powered pup who thought he had superpowers, but soon realized his true inner strength.
  5. Beethoven - the lovable St. Bernard who always found a way to steal hearts, both human and canine alike.

So, what do I think about this whole dogs talking thing? I'm still on the fence, but I will say this, the idea of having an actual conversation with my own pooch is pretty darn enticing. Imagine the kind of bond we could form if our dogs could actually tell us how they're feeling or what they're thinking. But, until I see more evidence, I'm just going to have to continue to communicate with dogs through belly rubs and ear scratches. Until then, I'll just have to sit back and ponder the idea of dogs talking and all the possibilities that come with it.
