Hold up: It's for charity. MusicCares recently held a Charity Relief Auction and some items went for some baller prices.  The auction was held by Julien's this past weekend  (Sunday, February 5th, 2023).  A Paul McCartney book set sold for $25,600.  It's a copy of The Lyrics: 1965 to Present and Paul is personalizing the book for the buyer.  What would you have Sir Paul write in your $25,000 book?  I would have to think carefully about that one.

Other notable items included an Ozzy Osbourne-owned, signed, and played Signature Gibson Les Paul which sold for $19,200Joe Perry also donated a signed and played Signature Gibson Les Paul, bringing in another $25,000 for MusicCares. The Eagles' Don Felder donated his 2010 Gibson Les Paul "Hotel California" aged 1959 reissue electric guitar with signed sheet music.  The items sold for $19,200.

David Lee Roth had an original painting of his titled "Dark Ocean" in the auction.  The painting went for $10,240.

The Rolling Stones offered up a signed 2022 Sixty 60th anniversary European tour poster.  The poster sold for $16,000.
