I have warned Big Jim about this for years and now it looks like it may be to late...

Robot help seems like a good idea, until you think about the robots taking over and ending human life as we know it!

A six-foot-tall robot helper at a grocery store in Pennsylvania ESCAPED this week, and tried to make a run for it.  His name is "Marty", and he normally looks for spills and counts inventory.

Four years ago, the grocery store chain Giant started adding robot helpers at all of its locations, which are mostly in eastern Pennsylvania. The robots are all named "Marty," and they're six-foot-four. They have big googly eyes, and wheel around scanning inventory and looking for spills.

The googly eyes kind of make them look like they're enjoying it.  But maybe not.  Because this week, a Marty at a store near Allentown, Pennsylvania made a run for it. Someone posted a video after he escaped through the front doors, and started making his way through the parking lot.

Luckily, he doesn't move very fast, so an employee was easily able to catch up and get him back inside.  Whoever posted the clip joked that he, quote, "almost made it to freedom before he was wrangled back to his grocery prison."

Now I am joking around a little bit when I talk about Robots taking over, but honestly...Isn't this how it starts? First, they make you think that you are still in control and then next you know they are running the whole grocery store and taking humans are prisoners' in the back!

Here is the video from the grocery store.

Here is the full news story, but be aware...I am sure the robots know you clicked the link!

Even humans are sounding like robots these days:

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
