Truck Driver Wanted for Murder in Georgia Arrested in Michigan
It’s hard to believe, but a man wanted for murder in Georgia made it all the way to Michigan- and was caught.
According to the Michigan State Police, a truck driver was arrested following a routine traffic stop, and as they discovered, he had a warrant for murder in Georgia.
According to a release, a Michigan State Police trooper stopped a commercial vehicle on Saginaw Highway in Delta Township, near Lansing, around noon on Tuesday (Feb. 21). The trooper found out he had a warrant for his arrest out of Georgia for murder. The man was then taken into custody without incident.
After searching the vehicle, the trooper found a stolen handgun and police-grade pepper spray, which is illegal to have in Michigan. The truck driver is currently in the Eaton County Jail on multiple charges. He is awaiting Georgia authorities to take him back to the state to get charged for murder.
