You Won’t Believe the Bonus Matthew Stafford Just Got
Matthew Stafford won the LA Rams a Super Bowl, and that, of course, resulted in a bigger contract.
Last season was a rough one for Stafford and the Rams. But the deal is still in place.
Because of the contract, which was a four-year, $160 million extension signed on March 19, 2022, a big part of his signing bonus was deferred.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Stafford got a $30 million bonus payment by last Friday (March 31).
Yates says other players got big deferred signing payments, too. Those players include Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson ($12M), San Francisco’s Deebo Samuel ($14.035M), Colts guard Quenton Nelson ($19M) and quarterback Matt Ryan ($8M).
