Matthew Stafford’s Wife Kelly Has Harsh Words for Those ‘Mom Shaming’ Her
I’ve never heard of the term “mom shaming,” but I guess it’s a thing.
Now Kelly Stafford, the wife of former Detroit Lions and current LA Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, is defending herself after getting mom shamed online.
Kelly, who has been married to the quarterback since 2015, posted some Instagram photos this week showing their family trip to Hawaii. Her followers noticed that the couple’s 2-year-old daughter, Tyler, was missing.
Many of the Instagram comments turned negative, with followers bashing Kelly for leaving their youngest at home. So, Kelly took to her Instagram story to stand up for herself and her family’s decision. “Knew it would happen. People already shaming us for not bringing Tyler,” she wrote with a photo of her with Tyler. She added, teasing an upcoming show of her “The Morning After With Kelly Stafford” podcast, “We make decisions for our kids that benefit them … not that we need to explain ourselves. If you wanna know, I’ll talk about why we made those decisions on my podcast.”
So, there you have it. Kelly isn’t going to let you or anyone else make her feel bad about her family decisions. I’m not sure why it’s anybody’s business which kids she takes on her family trips, anyway, but welcome to the world of the Internet.
