Murder She Wrote…Literally
If you thought O.J. Simpson’s book “If I Did It” was bad, check out this woman’s children’s book that makes O.J.’s look like nothing!
A mom in Utah wrote a children’s book where the theme was how to deal with grief. She wrote the book after losing her husband. There is only one problem now, she is being charged with murdering her husband.
Kouri Richins was arrested on Monday for aggravated murder and three counts of possession of drugs with intent to distribute.
Her husband died in March of last year and his death was ruled “unexpected” and the story just gets crazier.
The story goes, the couple was celebrating a business deal that the wife closed on earlier that day. She made the husband and drink and gave it to him in bed. She claimed that when she woke up in the middle of the night, her husband was at the foot of the bed and cold to the touch. The autopsy showed that he died from an overdose of fentanyl. You can see where this one is headed right?
The medical team said the husband had 5 times the lethal limit of the drug and that it was taken my mouth.
Documents show that the wife asked her business partner for some pain killers for a client who had back issues. She was given hydrocodone pills, a week later she went back and asked for something stronger, even using the phrase, “Some Michael Jackson stuff”
The husband started to catch on, documents show that he told his friend that he thought his wife was trying to kill him after he got really sick during a dinner date. 2 weeks later, Kouri asked for another batch of pills, a short time after her husband was found dead.
The story is insane!
During this time, the husband Eric switched his life insurance and mention getting a divorce. But Kouri was not having any of it.
Following his death Kouri decided to write a book about how to deal with grief and here was the description online.
“[This book] follows the story of a child who has lost their father, but who is reminded that his presence still exists all around them, just like an angel watching over them.”
After closing the case on her, police found new evidence and now Kouri is in some real trouble!
