We've learned today that Lions are kicking off the NFL season in Kansas City on Thursday, September 7th (NBC baby!). It's weird to think that the national media has taken notice of our Lions - does it make you nervous? Dan Miller told us to enjoy the ride - and he's right! We're trying to convince Ryan to make a road trip to Kansas City (it's only a 12 hour drive!)

We asked Bob Seger about the Lions - and all the expectations this year. What did he think (and check out who he compares this team to...pretty cool)

If you missed any of our conversation with Bob for Seger De Mayo - check it out here

Now watching all that football is going to make you hungry - so here are five "Seger" inspired sandwiches to try:

1: “Night Moves” Club: A classic club sandwich made with turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise, representing the timelessness of Seger’s classic hit.

2: “Against the Wind” Reuben: A Reuben sandwich made with corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and thousand island dressing, reflecting the determination and resilience depicted in the song “Against the Wind”.

3: “Turn the Page” Philly Cheesesteak: A Philly cheesesteak sandwich with thinly sliced steak, melted cheese, and grilled onions, symbolizing the journey and experiences described in the song “Turn the Page”.

4: “Old Time Rock and Roll” Burger: A classic cheeseburger with all the fixings, representing the enduring appeal of classic rock and roll music, as seen in the song “Old Time Rock and Roll”.

5: “Still the Same” BLT: A simple and classic BLT sandwich with crispy bacon, lettuce, and tomato, symbolizing Seger’s timeless and unchanging style, as reflected in the song “Still the Same”.

Gotta be honest - this feels different and I totally trust Dan Campbell (when's the last time we could say that about a Lions coach?)
