If you’re a food truck lover, or even just a food lover, then you’re going to want to read on. Michigan is hosting “The World’s Largest Food Truck Rally” this weekend.

Generation Entertainment Florida is bringing the event to the Mitten. Expect tons of different food options and lots of fun.

“The World’s Largest Food Truck Rally” is set for Saturday, May 20th, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 21, from noon to 7 p.m. at the Ionia Free Fair and Ionia Fairgrounds. It’s the “largest traveling mobile/street food and drink festival on early,” according to organizers. It’s also in its 15th installment.

They have a warning if you are a latecomer, though. “We are (going to) go ahead and get this out of the way now, so no one is disappointed,” organizers state on the event’s official Facebook page. “If you show up at the end of the day, you run the risk of food running out. Food trucks can only hold so much. Food trucks are not fast food. Food takes the time to cook that it takes. Keep in mind trucks normally have one or two cooks, and one person taking orders.” They also say to “plan on having fun.” We can do that!

What’s extra cool is that this event is free to enter. On-site parking is $5 per carload. You aren’t required to park on the site, either. Organizers say there are food options for everyone, including vegetarian, gluten free, keto, paleo, Pescatarian and more. I love the fact there are so many options, because I’m vegetarian. Also, the event is pet friendly, although “you will still need to bring whatever you need to take care of said pet,” organizers state.
