Many of us have been there, indulging in late-night cravings or satisfying post-drinking munchies. Imagine the perfect food that satisfies your cravings. Think of greasy burgers oozing with cheese, pizzas topped with all your favorites, and irresistibly crispy fries that bring pure joy.

Online Casinos, a comparison site for safe online casinos, compiled data to uncover the ultimate drunken munchies in every state. For their survey, they reached out to 1,010 individuals to gather insights on their drunk food preferences. The survey included over 700 participants from the United States and just over 300 from Canada. Specifically, they selected individuals who consumed at least one drink per week to ensure their survey captured relevant data.

They conducted a Google Trends analysis to identify the most famous “drunk foods” in each state and province. To accomplish this, they utilized a list of the top 21 drunk foods and examined where each was most frequently searched.

What’s the most craved drunk food in Michigan?

When it comes to satisfying late-night cravings, Michigan has a clear favorite: shawarma. Michigan and Nunavut in Canada stand out as the only places in the study where shawarma is the ultimate choice for craved drunk food. After a night of fun in downtown Detroit, who wouldn’t want to make a detour to Bucharest for some shawarma?

Other Findings

According to the study, burgers were the top choice for drunk food in most of the country. Sixteen states, including many in Middle America, consider burgers their ultimate go-to drunk food.

In seven states, along with Washington, D.C., chicken wings take the win as the number one drunk food choice. Following closely behind are grilled cheese, nachos, pizza, kebabs, quesadillas, and burritos. In Nevada, breakfast food claims the top spot, while fish and chips reign supreme in Arizona. Over in Louisiana, fried chicken takes the lead, and Chinese food is the ultimate go-to in New Jersey. Pierogies steal the show in Pennsylvania, and mozzarella sticks are the undisputed favorite in Delaware.

What about drunken late-night restaurant chains?

The website also explored the top restaurants for satisfying late-night drunken cravings. Coming in at number one is Taco Bell. Right on its heels is McDonald’s, followed by Jack in the Box. Also, on their list of top choices is Waffle House. Rounding out the top choices is Domino’s. It’s not surprising that these restaurants have claimed the top spots. One major factor could be their late-night availability, which sets them apart from many other establishments.

Beef Fat: Could It Really Be An Acne Cure?

Here we go again with TikTok’s latest beauty trend. The advice floating around the video-sharing app: some are recommending that you smear your face in beef fat. It allegedly works as a moisturizer and cure for acne. Technically, it’s beef tallow, a rendered fat that’s been cooked down to remove impurities.

Tallow skincare is not a new concept. People have been using animal fat as a moisturizer for centuries. According to Health News, it dates back hundreds of years, when men and women would use tallow to nourish dry skin and treat wounds.

What can beef fat do for the skin?

Apparently, it’s mainly made up of triglycerides and is high in vitamins A, D, E, and K. Also, it can help soothe and treat everything from eczema and burns to diaper rash and can also be made into high-quality skincare products such as anti-aging creams and serums.

In the comments beneath the viral video, a staff member at a Nashville butcher shop said that scores of Southern women line up to purchase beef lard for the purpose of using it on their skin. EGOT-winning actress Viola Davis famously uses Crisco, a vegetable shortening commonly used as an animal fat alternative, on her bunions.

However, not everyone is sold on the trend. “Skinfluencer” Charlotte Palermino recently shared that this Victorian beauty practice does not “moo-ve” her. She explained that there is something about applying suet to your face and that she’s trying to consume less animal products.

Is beef fat good for your skin?

While beef tallow contains properties that are beneficial to the skin, it also comes with a few concerns. Dr. Steven Devos, a dermatologist at Misumi Luxury Beauty Care said that there are precautions and downsides to using tallow for skin. Also, it’s not a cruelty-free option, and it smells bad.
