A Detroit Implosion That Actually Worked!
In the Metro Detroit area, we are no strangers to failed demolition attempts. Lucky for us, they are doing it all over town again and our friend Diana Casetti took her Drone out to follow the latest.
Diana has provided us with some the the greatest Drone videos that we have ever seen. This one is a rare one, it actally worked on the first try! The video shows a 200 foot smokestack being demolished. Diana gave some background on it saying. ” It is part of the demolition of the Detroit Incinerator. It was built in 1986 and shutdown in 2019 for over 750 air quality violations. Apparently it was cheaper to demo it than to fix the violations”.
Check out this awesome Drone footage, and the sound of it!
If you want to check out more from Diana I highly suggest that you do! She takes us places we could never get to with her drone.

Why I said, this one finally worked…Remember a few years ago when they tried to demo the Place of Auburn Hills. Diana was also on the scene for that one after it failed to collapse from the explosion. They had to wire it up again and blow it a second time.
