Sip For A Cause: Support Dogs In Need By Enjoying Michigan Beer
This summer, you have a chance to help animals and score some awesome beer deals from Michigan breweries. Bark Nation, a nonprofit based in Metro Detroit, is on a mission to end dogfighting and animal cruelty. They’re hosting their second annual Summer Beer Tour.
When you get a Bark Nation Summer Beer Tour passport, you’ll get discounts at 40 breweries across southeastern Michigan from July 1 to August 19. You’ll also get access to parties along the tour, where you can win cool stuff, buy exclusive merch, and learn more about Bark Nation’s cause.
Until June 18, you can purchase the passports at a discounted price of $50, and they come with a T-shirt. These passports offer over $200 worth of savings.
Participating breweries include Atwater Brewery, Baffin Brewing Co., Unexpected Craft Brewing Co., Eastern Market Brewing Co., 734 Brewing Co., and many more. Check out their website for more info and to see which other breweries are in on the action.
Throughout the year, they offer a variety of events for people to participate in, such as their Survivor Scramble in September and Unchained Gala in December. These events provide ample opportunities for people to get involved and support their cause.
Earlier this year, the non-profit organization played a significant role in one of the Detroit police force’s most extensive operations against dog fighting. Bark Nation collaborated with local, state, and federal law enforcement to rescue over 133 dogs from various locations in the Detroit area. The organization deployed 66 responders to aid officials in executing search warrants at these properties. This operation is considered the most extensive effort to date in Michigan to combat dogfighting, as reported by multiple sources.
