Report: Detroit Lions Turned Down the Chance to Be on a ‘Hard Knocks’ Sequel
America came to know and love the Detroit Lions during their time on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” last year. As it turns out, there could possibly have been a “Hard Knocks” sequel with the Lions this year.
Detroit Lions ‘Hard Knocks’ Sequel:
According to The Detroit News, those in charge of the program’s inquired about a sequel to last year’s run with the Lions (via our friends at PrideOfDetroit.com). According to the reports, the Lions haven’t accepted the invitation yet, and they don’t seem likely to do so.
“HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ actually inquired about filming a sequel, by the way,” John Niyo wrote.
Last season, the Lions asked NFL Films to be on the show. They also said it helped get the team’s story out there. In other news, Brad Berreman of SideLion Report joins me, Anne Erickson, on the latest episode of “The Squad” to talk about the Lions’ picks and how the team is shaping up going into the new season.
