Monday night (6/26) the NHL awards were held in Toronto, and some of the games greatest stars were there to celebrate a great season. One, of the biggest stars was not a player though. Little George was invited by the NHL and the crowd went wild while he walked down the red carpet.

Check out how cool George is!

He even brought a sign to make sure everyone knew!

Alright, this may be the coolest thing yet! The Red Wings released the schedule for the 2023-2024 season. Guess who was the star of it!

BACK STORY:

During the Wings Season , one night at LCA was a great night for everyone, the Wings won the game and the fans were introduced to George! George is a 4 year old who was attending his first ever Red Wings game.

The camera man was panning around the crowd when he came across George. Instantly the crowd started to go wild while they flashed back and forth between George and Vancouver fans.

George’s mom, Chelsea Miller of St. Clair County, spoke with Local 4 on Saturday and told us all about the experience.

The family brought a sign that read “It’s my first game - George.” Miller said they were hoping to get him on camera, but they never expected this.

“He’s very shy so we brought him a sign that said this is my first game,” she said.

After the game was all said and done, the family left the arena and Miller says fans flocked to George.

“There were probably at least 100 people that asked to stop and take pictures with him and high fives and ‘can I get an autograph?’,” she said.

It's safe to say we haven't seen the last of George!

Don't forget to play for your chance to go to a game.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
