Red Rocker Sammy Hagar Happy Reaction To Star Walk Of Fame

Sammy Hagar will now have his own star on the Hollywoods Walk Of Fame. Chosen from hundreds of nominations by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The news selections were revealed on the Walk Of Fame website. Dates have not been scheduled for these star ceremonies. Recipients have two years to schedule star ceremonies from the date of selection before they expire. The Walk Of Fame, which originated in 1960, consists of more than 2,700 stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Los Angeles.

Known as the Red Rocker.  Singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He rose to prominence in the early 1970s with the hard rock band Montrose and subsequently launched a successful solo career, scoring a hit in 1984 with "I Can't Drive 55".  The Sammy VH years were from 1985-1996 and 2003 - 2005. A successful run with four multi-platinum, number 1 Billboard charting albums: 5150, OU812, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, and Balance.

In 2008, Hagar formed a supergroup named Chickenfoot with Michael Anthony, Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Sammy Hagar continues to play with his band Sammy Hagar & the Waboritas and the band The Circle which he is currently on tour.

Sammy Hagar also a smart businessman owns a nightclub and restaurant in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, called Cabo Wabo Cantina. Had his own Cabo Wabo Tequila which he sold for 80 million dollars. Also has a signature Beach Bar Rum. Don't forget his own TV show on AXS TV. The show, Rock & Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar, follows on the road talking with musical and entertaining guests as well as a jam session in each episode.
