Ever look at a Whopper and say to yourself "needs more meat"? This burger is just for you - it's called the "Real Meat Burger" and it's real...unfortunately you have to travel to Thailand to get it.

Burger King Thailand is following up their 20-slice cheeseburger with a new sandwich called the Real Meat Burger. It features three patties on a bun with no condiments. People can't add condiments, but they can add patties. A food blogger from Thailand wanted to test the restaurant so he ordered a Real Meat Burger with 100 hamburger patties (see below) It cost him over $290.

His burger contained ...

1,500 grams of protein

10,000 fat grams

1,002,600 grams of carbohydrates

3,500 mg of cholesterol

25,800 calories

45,600 mg of sodium

So what if you want a burger right here in #Detroit? We've spent a lot of time over the past couple of years checking out places - and I can recommend a ton of them (but we'll start with three)

  1. Millers in Dearborn: Still my favorite bar burger in Detroit. There’s something about the grill and the limited menu, a slice of Velveeta and some onions on the side. They bring it out wrapped in wax paper and you just eat (no plates, etc). If you googled “old school” I’m pretty sure a picture of Millers would show up.
  2. Vinsetta Garage: This place is just cool – it’s on Woodward in Berkeley and they’ve been nail a great burger for years (I’m partial to the 3am burger myself…something about an egg on a burger just works)
  3. Shamrock in Utica: They flame broil the burgers in the bar and on a nice day you definitely hang outside, have a cold one and a great burger (that’s not a bad day in my book).

Of course we also took a couple of road trips – including one to check out a great burger
