Leave No Trace At The Pictured Rocks…At Least No Undies
The clear waters of Lake Superior reveal large rocks and stones underwater. This cove, with pristine waters, is located near Au Train Michigan. Near Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
I love these kind of stories, they give you just enough to make up something in your head that could be totally wrong, but it sounds great.
The Pictured Rocks are one of those Michigan treasures everyone in the state and beyond has to enjoy at some point in their life. One of the most important rules when you hike and visit the Pictured Rocks is to leave no trace that you were there. Unfortunately for one person, that was not the case and another hiker was able to snap a photo for all of us to enjoy and wonder what happened.
This photo was posted the the Pictured Rocks Facebook page.
We don’t know if someone was having an awful day, a fun day or now needs a search team. This is a strange collection in this photo. So what happened was a hiker was traveling along the shores of the Pictured Rocks and came across a shoe, socks and undies.
We are still not sure why someone left these things laying there, but man are the comments great.
FUNNY FACEBOOK COMMENTS

When I come across undies left in beautiful places on public lands, which is more often than I would like. I call it “oops I pooped my pants”

I think they are Russian. Oneshoeov

Probably in the water skinny dipping. And now running around in the woods naked because someone took their clothes
Those are just a few of the comments, of course you had some people absolutely blown away that someone could leave that stuff there. But here is one thing that no one mentioned, what if these people needed help. I am sorry but what if this is a missing person now. We could have some people on the Facebook page eating their words.
Anyway, I still think it is pretty funny that someone left their stuff laying there, but seriously take care of these places. It is amazing stuff, lets keep it that way!
Want to check out the Pictured Rocks, here is a great place to get started.
Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf!
Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
