About time Olive Garden has updated their menu, unfortunately I don't think many people will be ordering this dish!

This all took place the the Olive Garden on Van Dyke in Warren back in March. A man went there for a nice dinner, but ended up getting a little extra added to his meal. Thomas Howie was supposed to have a fantastic night out with his friends, at his favorite restaurant. The problem he made was ordering the minestrone soup.

"I took a bite, felt something stab the inside of my cheek, it felt like a needle," that was when Thomas spit out the soup into a napkin, only to find out that he ate a rat's foot. Thomas and his lawyer have now filed a lawsuit against Olive Garden.

Here is the report from Fox 2

MORE ON THE STORY:

Howie's lawyer has said he has tried to settle out of court with the chain but hasn't had any success, that is why they are filing a formal lawsuit now.

"We were also very disappointed by what I perceived to be a very cavalier attitude," said attorney Gwinn.

Thomas is now claiming that months later, the experience is still affecting him, he said right now just the thought of going out to eat is not possible. He has also kept the rats foot in his freezer so he can use it as evidence.

I feel bad, but I really find this story funny, I am sorry but I think this guy is a little more worked up than needed. I hope it can find the courage to go out to eat again!

Olive Garden is doubling down when it comes to this claim, they say they have no reason to believe it is even true. This may be something we have to revisit in the future to see what the outcome is.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
