Cher Reveals Her Secret To Looking Young
Cher is revealing how she continues to turn back time. While appearing on Good Morning Britain from Malibu on Monday (September 4) morning, the “Believe” singer, 77, said, “I just canât believe I will be 80 at some point, sooner than I wish. And I will still be wearing my jeans, and I will still be wearing long hair, and I will still be doing the same stuff Iâve always done.”
The “Goddess of Pop” still feels as young as ever and doesn’t plan on changing her fashion choices. Cher recalled during her appearance, “I remember when my friend Paulette and I were talking about when we were going to have to cut our hair and stop wearing jeans because it seemed like in those days, thatâs what women did â and it hasnât hit yet.”
More Secrets To Cher’s Youth
Other tips on how she maintains her image, Cher chalks it up to “pretty amazing” genes that run in her family. Cher’s mother, Georgia, lived to be 96. “I donât know if not feeling old makes you younger,” she continued. “I keep up with the trends. I have lots of young friends. I have old friends too. Honestly, Iâm not trying to feel young. Iâm not trying to be young. I am who I am. Iâm just getting along.”
Since celebrating her 77th birthday in May, Cher declared on Twitter that the number of candles on her cake doesn’t reflect the way she feels inside. âOk Will Someone [praying hands emoji] PLEASE tell meâŠ..When Will I Feel OLD [baby face emoji]. This is ridiculous. I keep hearing these numbers, but I Honestly can’t understand them. WHAT’S THE DEAL WITH #’sâïž I’m dyslexic & #’s Are hard 4 me.” In 2022, she told People you’d never see her with silver hair: “[Going gray] is fine for other girls. I’m just not doing it!”
