Hollywood Notes: Chris Evans Could Quit Acting To Do What?
Chris Evans might be the only one who doesn’t think he’s a movie star. He says he loves to act, but it’s not something he couldn’t live without. Quote, “When I…

Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and Steve Rogers/Captain America
Chris Evans will spend the rest of his life being thought of as Captain America. But before he ever donned the red, white and blue spandex, he wore all-blue when he played Johnny (the Human Torch) Storm in the first two Fantastic Four films in 2005 and 2007. Those films are best forgotten anyway.
In 2011, he took on the mantle of Captain America for the first time in ‘Captain America: The First Avenger,’ reprising the role in 2012’s ‘The Avengers,’ 2014’s ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier,’ 2015’s ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron,’ 2016’s ‘Captain America: Civil War,’ 2018’s ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and finally in 2019’s ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ Technically, he’s actually played three characters: he played Loki mimicking Steve Rogers in 2013’s ‘Thor: Dark World’ and in ‘Endgame.’ Will he ever return to the franchise? Maybe, but he seems to have made a clean break for now. Technically, Rogers is still alive, but Evans declined to voice his character in the 2021 animated series ‘What If…?’ and has noted that he won’t be in the next Cap movie, because Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) is Captain America.

Quote, "When I look at my own life and it’s under a microscope, or when I consider my own experience, it leads to cyclical unhappiness . . . I could just make furniture for nobody and be happy . . .
"I don't want to occupy too much space in an industry that I've already poured 20 years into. I get a lot done in a day, but it's not always focused on acting. Sometimes reading a script is the last thing I want to do."

Three New Spider Species Are Named After the Big Three of "Star Trek"
Scientists in Brazil discovered THREE new spider species. And they named them after the Big Three on "Star Trek": Captain James T. Kirk, Mr. Spock, and Doctor Leonard "Bones" McCoy.
One of the scientists said they resemble "Star Trek" spaceships. Quote, "Arachnologists have a long tradition of giving interesting scientific names . . . it is a great opportunity to acknowledge people or draw parallels with pop culture."
The species belong to the Roddenberryus genus, named after "Star Trek" creator Gene Roddenberry. R. kirk was found in Costa Rica, and R. spock and R. mccoy were found in Mexico.
