After September 29th, Netflix will no longer rent DVDs by mail -- and will be winding down that part of its business altogether.
But don't worry. If you still want to rent-by-mail, a company in Seattle is stepping up and taking its DVD-by-mail service nationwide.
Scarecrow -- which is America's largest independent video store -- is offering 115,000 titles for rent. By comparison, Netflix was only offering 5,000 titles.
The rental window is 14 days -- and you'll have to pay for shipping.
Even if the price is a bit steep, it might be worth it because this place -- and this service -- is the last of its kind. And. .. again ... the place has 115,000 titles for rent. That's tough to beat.
Talk About It:
- What "old way of doing things" are you clinging to?
- Any old gadgets or tools that are still a big part of your life?
- How about any old cars, bikes or motorcycles?
