A Guy Carjacked a Lyft Driver After Booking the Ride Under His Own Name
Don’t give Lyft driver REAL NAME when robbing them.
Really.
Pull off the perfect crime and no one ever knows your name. That said . . .
Jermiah Charles is 19 years old. He carjacked a Lyft driver in Miami last month and drove off in her Toyota Corolla. She says he started punching her from the backseat until she got out. But thankfully she’s okay.
Again, his name is Jermiah Verdon Charles. And we know that because . . . he ordered the Lyft under his OWN NAME.
He stole the car after booking a ride through the app. So the driver just gave cops his info, and that’s how they tracked him down. They arrested him at home and found the car parked a block away.
Jermiah denied everything and claimed he hadn’t even taken a Lyft that day, but they had the records. A community center’s security cam also got him on video.
He’s facing charges for robbery and carjacking. Don’t give Lyft driver REAL NAME when robbing them.

Oh but we got more!
You’ve dreamed of doing this. But no one would actually risk it in real life, right?
A guy in East Haven, Connecticut got pulled over the other day . . . for putting fake police lights on his car to beat traffic and get to work faster.
His name is Michael Marshall. A cop spotted his Dodge Challenger on the highway with red and blue lights flashing. So they ran his plate and saw it wasn’t registered to any law enforcement agency.
Michael admitted he was using them to get through traffic faster on his commute. This was just before 9:00 A.M. So ironically, he ended up being late to work that day. Or more likely, he didn’t make it at all.
They towed his car, arrested him, and released him on $5,000 bond. He’s due in court next week to face serious charges for impersonating an officer.
