And that’s how we, retailers, and consumers like it.” The Board has no power like Santa Clause but still is looked at with high praise for its efforts.

We had an impact on our air quality in Detroit this year from Canadian wildfires. No direct effect on the Fall colors this year. The science told us it was the lack of sunlight that damaged the colors of the trees this fall. Trees had trouble with a May drought which had an effect on the trees. But tree farms are going to be just fine and are ready for this season.

With a real tree comes responsibilities like watering the tree and dealing with millions of needles but it's worth it. I always wait till after Thanksgiving to shop for a real tree. It's looking like I might have to take out a second mortgage to get a tree this year. Last year, I paid 50 dollars. I wonder what I will be paying this year. So, I'll buy a real tree for Christmas- change my mind.

Here in Detroit, we're always ready for Thanksgiving. It's one of the most anticipated days of the year. Not only do we get to stuff our faces, but we also get our annual Detroit Lions football game on Thanksgiving Day. It's one of the greatest traditions in all of football. Our Detroit Lions playing on Thanksgiving Day has been an annual tradition since the 1930s. Crazy!
In addition to the football game, we also get America's Thanksgiving Parade which is always a big deal. If you've never checked it out you're definitely missing out! Make this year the year to go!
