Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys Predictions: Who Will Win?
We’re heading into a super hot weekend for the NFL. One of the most high-profile games of NFL Week 17 is our very own Detroit Lions going up against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. I really think this will be one of the most-watched games of the entire season. So, what are some Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys predictions, and who will win?
The Lions are already NFC North champions. But, they should still have plenty of motivation to beat the Cowboys. First of all, it’s the Cowboys. Who doesn’t like to beat those guys? I’m semi-joking, but the Cowboys are not the most-liked franchise, right? I say this with love, my Cowboys friends. One of my good friends is a Cowboys fan, so I hope he isn’t reading this. Anyway, the real reason the Lions should be motivated to win is because they could still snag that No. 1 seed in the NFC, if all goes well. The Lions would have to win out the rest of their games, and some key teams would have to fall in the next three weeks, but stranger things have happened.
Detroit Lions vs. Dallas Cowboys Predictions: Who Will Win?
The Dallas Cowboys (10-5) are favored by six points against the Detroit Lions (11-4). The games is set for Dec. 30, 2023, starting at 8:15 PM ET, airing on ABC/ESPN.
ESPN
ESPN says the Cowboys have a 70.1% probability to beat Lions on Saturday. Wow. That’s a pretty high percentage.
Sports Betting Dime
Sports Betting Dime has the Cowboys 30.1 and Lions 21.2.
CBS Sports
CBS Sports also has the odds favoring the Cowboys. The early line is Cowboys -6.
Sam Panayotovich of FOX Sports and NESN
Sam Panayotovich says the prediction is “too low.” He notes, “Everybody knows the Cowboys are a different monster at home in the dome. That’s why this line is where it is. Detroit’s secondary is a problem, too. Don’t be surprised if we see -7.”
Anne Erickson on WRIF
Here I go. I’m going against the grain and calling this Lions 27, Cowboys 24. The Lions are no strangers to being the underdogs. In fact, they thrive in that role. And they’re 5-0 in primetime matchups. Bring it on. This, in my opinion, is the game of the weekend, along with the Miami vs. Baltimore game.
