Detroit Artists Paint Shinola Footballs To Giveaway Ahead of NFL Draft
Detroit is gearing up for the NFL Draft, and local artists want in on the excitement. Five Detroit artists have teamed up with Bedrock and Design Core to give away 20 hand-painted Shinola leather footballs ahead of the draft. During April, the public can enter the free giveaway for a chance to win the limited-edition football.
Throughout the month of April, all are invited to enter for a chance to win a limited-edition football unlike any other. đ In collaboration with @designcoredet, five Detroit artists were commissioned to design 20 @Shinola leather footballs with their own hand-painted art.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen artists embrace the NFL Draft and what it brings to the city of Detroit. In preparation for draft day, local artists have also transformed life-size cleats into works of art. Now, with the Shinola footballs turned into their artistic canvasses, these artists are showcasing the spirit of Detroit.

To get one of these limited edition footballs, Bedrock and Design Core released a particular statement with instructions: “Each football will be featured in one of 20 select downtown locations with a corresponding QR code. No purchase is necessary to enter the giveaway â just your phone! Scan the QR code next to each football on display for a chance to win.” The giveaway ends on April 30, so you still have some time to enter, but hurry. Rouse also released a statement about the giveaway: once your QR code has been scanned, you must remember your information because, during the first week of May, winners for each ball will be randomly selected and then contacted to pick up their ball.
