Dave “The Snake” Sabo, founding member of Skid Row has squashed out the idea of the band reuniting with former vocalist Sebastian Bach.

Sebastian Bach, who is on a solo career with a new album and tour coming out, recently said to Metal Hammer on line, that he and his ex-bandmates “should be giving something back to the fans” and getting back together.

"Snake" Sabo Saying Why It Wont Happen

Dave "The Snake" Sabo pulled no punches in an interview with The Hook Rocks saying, “Well, the answer has been the same for – I don’t know – 20,000 years now. It’s not gonna happen.”

Sabo further noted, “I say the same thing every time. I’m thankful that people have such an interest in wanting to see that happen, but I also have to reiterate that this is about being happy in the situation that you’re in. So I’ll speak for myself personally.”

Skid Row Back Story In The Beginning

Skid Row was formed in 1986 outside of New Jersey in Toms River by bass player, Rachel Bolan and guitarist, Dave Sabo. Later guitarist, Scotti Hill and drummer, Rob Affuso were found through a newspaper ad.

Sebastian Bach replaced original singer Matt Fallon at the age of 18, and the members asked him to join in early 1987.

Skid Row achieved commercial success in the later 1980s and early 1990s, with their first two albums Skid Row (1989) and Slave to the Grind (1991) certified multi-platinum, the latter of which reached number one on the Billboard 200. Those two albums also produced "18 and Life" and "I Remember You", "Youth Gone Wild", "Monkey Business", "Slave to the Grind."

The band had sold 20 million albums worldwide by the end of 1996. Amid rising tensions, Bach was fired and Affuso left Skid Row towards the end of that year, after which the band entered a three-year hiatus.

Skid Row Even Played The Ritz In Roseville

Unbelievable concert at The Ritz in Roseville, MI February 8t,h 1990 sold-out venue. It was a bit overcapacity that night as every inch of the bar was taken up by a person. The show was one of the best I had ever seen a band play with a set list of greats.

Not an exact set list but from what I wrote down that night was amazing

  • "Makin' a Mess"
  • "Big Guns"
  • "Rattlesnake Shake"
  • "18 and Life"
  • "Sweet Little Sister"
  • "Piece of Me"
  • "I Remember You"
  • "Here I Am"
  • "Youth Gone Wild"

Skid Row Continues As They Wrap Up A Recent Tour

Skid Row are again singerless after the departure of Erik Grönwall, but former vocalist Sebastian Bach thinks he has the perfect replacement ( Guess who?)

The last of the few remaining date are being filled in by female rocker Izzy Hale. After the dates are over what will happen to Skid Row?

Skid Row x Lzzy Hale tour dates:
May 31: Sparks Nugget Casino Resort, NV
Jun 01: Sacramento Hard Rock Live, CA

Back to Bach

Bach's Child Within The Man album was released on May 10 and he is tour, Bach on the Road makes a stop in Detroit June the 4th, 2024 at St Andrews Hall.

SEBASTIAN BACH Child Within The Man 2024

So What Is Next For This Rock Soap Opera?

It is anyone's guess but the way Dave "The Snake" Sabo is sticking to his guns, I do not foresee a Skid Row reunion in anyone's future as of now. Bach can only say maybe one day it will all work out. I think the fans would love it... except maybe the ticket price for a reunion show.

5 Classic Rock Disco Tracks We All Love (Admit It!)

KISS released Dynasty on May 23, 1979. At the time, the album got a lot of heat from fans for its heavy disco influence.

However, as the years have passed, it’s hard to deny some of the disco earworms on this album.  In honor of its release, here are five classic rock disco tracks we all love.

KISS - “I Was Made For Loving You”

This ridiculously catchy track features a songwriting credit from Desmond Child, who also helped co-write massive hits for Aerosmith (“Angel,” “Dude (Looks Like A Lady)”), Bon Jovi (“Living On A Prayer,” “Bad Medicine”) and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts (“I Hate Myself For Loving You”.)

Blondie - “Heart of Glass”

This song was controversial for two reasons:  Blondie was a punk band and because the song features the phrase “pain in the ass,” which made some radio stations nervous to play it.  What a simpler time!

Pink Floyd - “Run Like Hell”

While not an overt dive into disco, you have to admit that this track from The Wall is definitely disco-influenced, at the very least. (And it’s just such a killer groove.)

The Rolling Stones - “Miss You”

Play “Miss You” at any wedding, and I guarantee the dance floor will be immediately packed. Plus, this might be the hookiest hook Mick Jagger and Keith Richards ever wrote.

Rod Stewart - “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy?”

A list about classic rock disco tracks just isn’t complete without this Rod Stewart gem.  We’ve all danced to it in front of our bedroom mirrors. We’ve all cranked it while in the car.  And if you say you haven’t, you’re either a liar or just don’t know how to live.
