Don’t Cut In Line At Raising Cane’s (and when are we getting one in Detroit?)
Sometimes you don’t even have to leave your car to get dealt a big ole big of karma. Bottom line – DON’T CUT IN LINE at Raising Cane’s! (and yes, we did some research as to when we’re getting a location closer to Detroit).
But first – why you DON’T cut in line at Raising Cane’s
It all happened at a Raising Cane’s drive-thru near Minneapolis, where a woman cut into the line (video below – warning some NSFW work). Let’s watch the video and discuss:
The folks filming the video said the line was 20 minutes long, and she yelled, “I’m coming in whether you like it or not.” Then when they pulled up, she said, “If you hit me, I’m gonna punch you in your [effing] head.” So they let her in. (wouldn’t you? I’m not getting in a fight over chicken tenders and that sweet, amazing Raising Cane’s sauce…oooohhhh. Sorry. I’m back. Still wouldn’t get in a fight over it).
So story over, right? The mean person wins and gets her food first. NO! A wonderful Raising Cane’s employee walked out and told the woman that if she wanted food, she’d have to go to the back of the line. Denied. Justice prevails! Let Freedom Ring!
When are we getting a Raising Cane’s in Detroit?
If you want Raising Cane’s right now you need to drive to Lansing (it’s been there since 2022). But soon you won’t have to go near as far, back in December we found out that Raising Cane’s is planning to build a store on Ford Road in Canton – it’ll be between Sheldon and Morton Taylor Roads (according to township documents)…located where the old TGI Fridays was at one time.
So yes, very soon we’ll have a Raising Cane’s in the Detroit area. And when you go, don’t overthink it. Get the chicken tenders, fries and extra Cane’s sauce. And don’t let anyone cut in line. Ever.
