Michigan Road Construction This Weekend to Avoid
It’s the season for Michigan road construction. We do need to get the roads in shape, but road construction can be really annoying. It can also mess with your weekend travel plans. It’s a good idea to know what you’re getting into when it comes to Michigan road construction before you leave your house, so you can plan for delays and detours. There happens to be a lot of construction this weekend, so make not if you’re hitting the road, like I am.
Michigan Road Construction This Weekend
One thing to note is that due to the extreme heat, you should be even more prepared for Michigan road construction issues that might keep you in your vehicle for longer than anticipated. It can be dangerous to be stuck in your vehicle for too long in hot weather, so be safe, have an emergency kit and make sure your car is up-to-date with servicing and ready for the road.
According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, there are more than 40 closures on tap for this weekend across the state. So, if you’re traveling far, chances are you’ll run into one of these construction projects. I’ll be driving around Detroit on Saturday and will definitely keep this list handy.
