I suppose that would depend on how frustrated you are by sitting in traffic. If it's the worst thing in the world for you, then it's good news! However, it also might be a glimpse into the state of our home team. Learn more about this new study below.
Detroit Tigers Fans Are Least Likely To Get Stuck In Game Day Traffic
It's not always good to be number one. Sure, on a list of the best fans in baseball, being number one would be awesome. However, being number one on the list of which MLB fans are least and most likely to get stuck in game day traffic isn't necessarily something to celebrate. Unless you have plans or somewhere you need to be after the game.
FlashPicks set out to find the most hated stadium in Major League Baseball and studied all teams and stadiums against 10 factors including: the price of beer, cost of parking, average attendance, weather, record, and more. One factor they used during their research was traffic density around MLB stadiums on game day. It was that specific category that caught the eye of Detroit Sports Fans.
According to FlashPicks, Detroit Tigers fans are the least likely to be stuck in traffic on game day compared to all other MLB teams. How did this happen? I feel like I've sat in some pretty serious traffic leaving a Tigers game. However, that might have been back in, like, 2014 when they were really competing for a World Series. Today? You can't really say the same. FlashPicks says Comerica Park has the lowest score for speed scoring a 0/5. That means our fans' average car speeds near the stadium on game day are the highest compared to other cities on game day. Cars are going by at normal speeds and aren't having to stop or slow down for any game day traffic. That makes sense as Comerica Park also scored the joint-lowest score for congestion at 1.2/10, per FlashPicks. Could it just be our terrific city infrastructure? That's unlikely.
Detroit Tigers Fans Named Least Likely To Get Stuck In Game Day Traffic
It's a Catch-22. You want to have a good baseball team but you also want to have no traffic leaving the game. Few things in life are more frustrating than traffic. However, I think I would take a slight delay if that meant we could have a great team. According to FlashPicks, the two teams in Los Angeles (Angels and Dodgers) have the most traffic on game day.
Have you noticed the lack of traffic around Comerica Park? What do you think? Are you loving the lack of traffic on game day or are you ready for a change?

5 Must-Try Tacos In Metro-Detroit Any Day Of The Week
Tacos aren't only for Tuesday! Here are 5 must-try tacos in Metro-Detroit for any day of the week!
Taco Tuesday is celebrated in many homes--and rightfully so. It can give you something to look forward to on Tuesday, and having something to look forward to can really help you get through the workday. However, tacos aren't only for Tuesday! You can enjoy them any day you choose. Here are 5 must-try tacos in Metro-Detroit that you can enjoy whenever you please.
What Are The Best Tacos In Metro-Detroit?
When it comes to tacos, everyone has their favorite. It's one of those things where you really can't be wrong. You could even say your favorite taco place on Earth is Taco Bell and I couldn't find any flaw in that. However, if you're looking for something a bit more authentic maybe fast-food isn't the way to go. There are many other great tacos in Metro-Detroit to choose from.
When looking for the best tacos in Metro-Detroit, I had to consider a number of factors. Variety was important. I don't want a place where you can only get ground beef. No way! The best taco places will have beef, pork, chicken, and more! You know it's going to be good when you see unique items on the menu like "Lengua" (that's beef tongue). That's always a sign that they're doing things in authentic fashion.
Additionally, I considered factors like flavor, price, and availability. I don't want to recommend a taco that's out of the ordinary budget, that would be lame. A good taco is something cheap that packs a punch of flavor. I'm so sick of all these new-age restaurants trying to reinvent the taco. It doesn't need it! So, I'm sure there are awesome taco joints out there with a crazy Elote Taco or Krazy Korean Taco but that's not what I'm looking for or talking about here. I love the Hot Chicken Taco from Honcho in Clarkston, but it won't make the list because it isn't traditional enough. I want it plain and simple. Give me meat, onions, and cilantro. Then, some sauce on the side for me to pour on and I'm all set. I don't ask for much!
Thankfully, there are many places to get tacos in Metro-Detroit that fit this description. Here are 5 of my favorites that I would recommend. Feel free to share your favorites in the comments! Whether you're enjoying Taco Tuesday or looking for a Saturday lunch, these places should do the trick!
5 Must-Try Tacos In Metro-Detroit
Taco Stand - Allen Park
Now, there are Taco Stands popping up all over Metro-Detroit. There's a reason for that. It's because it's so extraordinary! Their tacos could be the best in Metro-Detroit. I've always gone to the location on Allen Road in Allen Park. However, you can go to any and will experience the same greatness. They have locations across Metro-Detroit including: Birmingham, Garden City, Allen Park, Sterling Heights, Taylor, and Riverview. You can't miss with the Chorizo. The Al Pastor is fantastic, too.
I know this is all about tacos, but they could also have the best Quesadilla I've ever had, too. Seriously, try it. You won't regret it.
Tienda Mexicana - Madison Heights
I recently had Tienda Mexicana for the first time, and I have been missing out. Thankfully, it's close to my new place and I will be back. I've always said the best tacos can be found in Mexican markets and this is another example of that. We tried them all and they all were tasty. I'll be going back for more very soon.
El Taco Veloz - Detroit
If you're looking for the best tacos in Metro-Detroit you'll probably want to head to Southwest Detroit. There are so many to try and Mexicantown is right there. You can't lose! Especially if you go with El Taco Veloz. You know a place is good when you see it growing and expanding, and we've seen that with El Taco Veloz. They do it right.
Taqueria El Rey - Mexicantown
I couldn't make this list and not include a taco from Mexicantown. It just felt wrong. Sure, I think Mexicantown is better for sit down meals and options that are more than tacos. I'd be more likely to order Fajitas or some kind of Chimichanga in Mexicantown but that doesn't mean there aren't excellent tacos around! My go-to would be Taqueria El Rey. Hits the spot every time.
Taqueria Mi Pueblo - Detroit
I'll finish the list with Taqueria Mi Pueblo. If you have a foodie friend who loves eating their way through Detroit, this is likely where they'll send you for tacos. It's as authentic as it is delicious. It doesn't matter what you order, you're going to like it. Pork? Yup. Chicken? Yes! Beef? Mhm. Try it all.
