Move Over Chick-fil-A Del Taco Is New Number 1
After a nine-year streak in the lead, Chick-fil-A takes a back seat to a new leader, Del Taco, at the Country’s favorite fast food chain.
The Big Surprise Came Out Of Nowhere This Year
I was surprised at which restaurant took the coveted spot. I’m a Taco Bell fan back in the 80s. Del Taco wasn’t even on my radar. I have one within walking distance of my home in Roseville, MI.
Chick-fil-A has topped the annual USA Today Readers’ Choice Awards for best fast food restaurant in the United States nine times in a row. The Southern chicken chain has been popping up everywhere around Michigan recently. It is loved for its efficiency, hospitality, and mischievous ‘Eat Mor Chikin’ mascots.
With this year’s list, however, there was a shocking upset: Chick-fil-A dropped to number three in the rankings.

This popular taco stop serves all kinds of satisfying Mexican fare, including burritos, quesadillas, and nachos. It also offers burgers and fries. In addition, Del Taco has a dedicated breakfast menu and a vegan and vegetarian menu.
Surprised? You Are Not The Only One
Voted by readers to be the best fast-food chain in America, it is Del Taco. With fresh guacamole and delicious burritos, we can understand why folks voted for this friendly chain. Outside the vote would be a mention of White Castles after 1 am with no regrets unless you leave some in your vehicle to bake in the morning sun to your surprise when you open the car door.

Chick-fil-A is building more stores to combat and get back to #1. Like this one that is almost finished in front of Macomb Mall. Can’t wait to see how traffic will be when it opens. Maybe I should get in line.

The minute you open the fridge your eyes will be laser-focused on a box of PIZZA. The gamble is always when you open the box to see how many slices are left in the box. Anything more than 2 slices is a win in my book. Never have to worry about brands when it comes to Midnight Snacks. Unless there is a name on the box. That’s the only common rule to follow. Don’t be that person who disregards the holding pizza note and eats it anyway. Unless you leave your own note with a promise to replenish the slices taken. There is always leftover pizza around the WCSX studios.
