After reading this story about the 15 year old who saved an elderly woman from the Lake St. Clair, you will want to go say thank you to the parents for raising such an amazing kid.

Around noon yesterday, the Coast Guard responded to a call of a submerged car in Lake St. Clair near lakefront park. It started out with a couple of people fishing near the water, when a car came flying by straight into the lake. That was when 15 year old, John Agnello and others ran over, jumped in and began to swim towards the car.

Once John and the others got to the car, John smashed the window of the car with a rock and swam his way into the backseat. During that time, john was cut up by the glass but said he didn't even notice it because he was so locked in on saving the persons life.

The group was able to pull the elderly woman to safty and John's family could be more proud of their son. They spoke to Fox2 News and said. " We couldn’t be more proud. And when I heard today, I was working from home and cried – like I was just so proud of him," said Stacey Agnello, John's aunt. "I’m a first responder… I think we found his career and I can’t wait to watch him grow and blossom. So proud of you John!"

There Are Still Good People Out There

With all of the craziness in the world today, I think is a great reminder of how people will still go out of their way and risk their own lives to save a fellow neighbor. Cheers to John and the others that helped pull this poor lady from Lake St. Clair.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
