Ohio State Coach Ryan Day Still Mift At Michigan Wolverines Football Team

It has been over 1700 + days since Ohio State has beaten the Michigan Wolverines. So Ryan Day, head coach for Ohio State, is not too happy these days. Imagine having to live with the last three losses to Michigan in the back of your mind.

The Ohio State football program has three goals each season: beat Michigan, win the Big Ten, and win a national championship. They have failed to reach any of those three goals in the past three seasons. It makes you wonder if, this year, the coach's job might be on the line.

Those failures have not soured the high expectations for the Ohio State football program, especially with a team this year that could be the most talented players this season.

Beating Michigan is the first — and most important — part of those goals. The Buckeyes have been close at points in the past three matchups but could not close things out in a winning manner each time. Ouch!

Michigan game last year was a game of inches, and the Buckeyes fell just short (again). Ohio State had the ball at the end of the game but still lost 30-24 in Ann Arbor. Several changes to any given play could have changed the outcome.

Michigan and Ohio State are the winningest and third-winningest programs in NCAA Division I football history, respectively. The rivalry has national interest as many of the games determined the Big Ten Conference title, the resulting Rose Bowl Game matchups, and the outcome of the NCAA Division I college football championship. In 2000, ESPN ranked the game as the greatest North American sports rivalry ever.
