To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Aerosmith Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, the ride has just reopened at Walt DisneyWorld in Orlando!

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith

The coaster's theme is you race along the darkened freeways of Los Angeles in a super-stretch limo to the rockin' tunes of Aerosmith. Aerosmith is wrapping up a recording session. When their manager tells them they’re late for a concert across town, the band invites you to ride along.

You then hop into their gleaming limousine and speed off into the night as Aerosmith’s hard-rock harmonies fill the air. Buckle in before zooming through the city on this roller-coaster-style attraction.

Rock This Way Aerosmith Coaster Features

You speed through iconic Hollywood landmarks. Maneuver past traffic jams and swoop into 3 thrilling inversions—2 rollover loops and one corkscrew—as the wind races across your face.

But Will you make it to the year’s biggest concert in time?

Why Was The Roller Coaster Down For A While? Was It Broke?

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith went down for a scheduled rock and roll tune-up this year on January 8 after a similar closure last winter through early summer. This amounts to over a 6 month closure, which is longer than the refurbishment of the ride last year during the same time.

Now Back Open Despite Rumours Of A Theme Change

The Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster held soft openings for the first time in half a year! So, is there anything new to look forward to?

Despite ever-present – – and often easily debunk-able – – rumors that the coaster would be losing its Aerosmith theme (the more rumor sees them being replaced with Queen, but other ideas over the years it’s been everything from High School Musical and Hannah Montana to Mickey Mouse and The Descendants),  The months-long closure of the ride had more to do with repairing and upgrading “under-the-hood” technical aspects of the attraction than it did its actual theme.

Aerosmith's rescheduled tour dates have been announced for 2024-25.

In a statement, the band noted that all previously purchased tickets for their “Peace Out” farewell tour will be honored for the rescheduled shows on January 4 – at Little Caesars Arena – Detroit, MI.
