As someone who has two young children at home, I actually found this list pretty interesting! The #1 song for Kids, is not "Baby Shark" or any children's song for that matter. I think the #1 song will surprise you a little bit.

#1 SONG FOR KIDS IS...

When I first saw this story I thought the #1 song for kids would be Baby Shark or What Does The Fox Say, something like that. After reading through the story, I was happily surprised to find out the #1 song for kids actually comes from a legendary Classic Rock band.

The #1 song for children just happens to be from on our my favorites, Queen! That's right, "Radio Ga-Ga". Queen actually took the top 2 spots on this list, coming in second was "We Will Rock You"

HOW DID THEY FIGURE THIS OUT?

A music psychology professor from the UK created a formula for the best children's song, here is how it works. It should be 60 to 120 beats per minute, with a, quote, "marching or swaying rhythm" and repetitive, rhyming lyrics.  It should also be in a major key.

WHAT ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFT??

Alright, hear me out. Most of those who know me know that I am a #Swifty and my kids absolutely love listening to her in the car and at home. So for my personal pick, I am going with anything from Taylor Swift.

Another limited edition flavor, Bohemian Raspberry was released in 2006 in honor of Queen with profits benefitting the Mercury Phoenix Trust, the organization founded by the members of Queen in honor of their late singer Freddie Mercury. The organization provides aid and support to AIDS charities and other efforts around the world. As the name would suggest, the vanilla based ice cream features a raspberry swirl and fudge brownie chunks.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
