Phil Collins May Be Working on New Music Again

Longtime Producer and manager Simon Napier-Bell confirms that the former Genesis frontman has been updating the studio at his home.

The news came to light due to an upcoming documentary on the famous London Marquee Club live music venue. "He was in top form, full of wicked stories—hugely fun," Napier-Bell said in a Facebook media post.

The New Music Is On The Way

Phill Collins' last effort dates back to the soundtrack for Disney's 2003 film Brother Bear. His last solo album of original material was 2002's Testify, followed by a 2010 release of R&B standards called "Going Back."

Phill also spent a bundle re-doing and updating equipment in his home studio. So, can anyone guess how long it will take? It would be wonderful to hear some good news and hear some music from Phill Collins again.

When Did Phill Collins First Go Solo?

On March 29, 1996, Phill announced leaving Genesis to focus on his solo career.

Phil Collins has released eight studio albums, one live album, five compilation albums, two remix albums, three soundtrack albums, two box sets, 50 singles, 18 video albums, and 41 music videos.

A Grammy and Academy Award-winning solo artist, Collins has sold over 34.5 million albums in the United States and 150 million records worldwide.

Collins's first solo album, "Face Value," was released in the United Kingdom in 1981 and reached number one

In September, look for an expanded 30th-anniversary edition of Collins' fifth solo album, 1993's U.K. chart-topping hit Both Sides.
