Aerosmith was formed in Boston in 1970. The group comprises Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer, and Brad Whitford, as well as a little riff that, in 1982, saw Joe Perry leave the band for a stint. Otherwise, the band line-up stood the test of time.

Did Aerosmith Hit Number 1 With The Song "Dream On"

No, "Dream On" by Aerosmith was not a number-one hit, but it did reach number six on the Billboard Hot 100 after being re-released in 1975.

Aerosmith Finally Hits Number One

“I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” is Aerosmith’s biggest ballad for multiple reasons. Penned by songwriting powerhouse Diane Warren, the track was the lead single off the soundtrack from the 1998 blockbuster film ‘Armageddon,’ which starred Liv Tyler, daughter to Steven Tyler. From the beautiful string section to The Demon of Screamin’ hitting some of his boldest notes, it was simply the perfect song for an epic disaster movie. It also gave Aerosmith their lone number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in their whole career.‘Armageddon: The Album’ (1998)Sony/Legacy

“I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” Aerosmith’s

"I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" Aerosmith recorded for the theme song for the 1998 science fiction disaster film Armageddon, in which lead singer Steven Tyler's daughter, Liv Tyler, starred in a big role.

The power ballad was written by Diane Warren, with the intention of "Celine Dion" to sing it at first.

The song wasn't on any of Aerosmith's albums, just on the movie soundtrack, but it was released as a single.

It subsequently debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, the band's first and only number-one single, remaining at the top for four weeks.

Does any Other Aerosmith Song Come Close To Number One?

The song " Angel " was released in 1988 as the third single from the band's 1987 album, Permanent Vacation. It quickly climbed to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, which at the time was their highest-charting single ever.

Aerosmith

Tom Hamilton recently spoke to the press, saying, “The band is still alive,” says Aerosmith bassist.

Hamilton tells AARP what the future may hold for a band that’s had more than one comeback on the road to selling 150 million albums.
