Right now, Michigan weather has been 74 degrees to 77 degrees. In just two weeks, the average high temperatures over southern Michigan are 71 degrees to 74 degrees. Don't forget a couple of surprise chilly overnights so far.

Could We See Above Average Temperatures?

We are going to be 10 to 15 degrees hotter than normal this week and next week—highs are forecasted for each of the next ten days. You’ll notice mid-80-degree days.

The two-time yearly equinox would occur on the same day every year if the Earth followed the Gregorian calendar and took exactly 365 days to make a complete revolution around the sun. However, remember this year was a leap year. The Earth doesn't strictly follow the rules of our man-made markers of time, and it takes 365 days and six hours on average to go around the sun. That's why we have a Leap Day every four years.

Enjoy It While You Can Before The Winter That Is Predicted

What is the 2024-2025 winter outlook by Old Farmer's Almanac and Farmers' Almanac? The Old Farmer's Almanac predicts a "gentler-than-normal" season with overall temperatures in the Northeast above average. January will be the warmest, with colder periods in mid-December and late February.

You and I know this is just a suggestion, and living in Michigan long enough to know everything is subject to change by the hour.
