If Your Printer Was A Person
We’ve all had issues with a printer, right? Whether at home or at work, they seem to mock us and take pleasure in our anguish as they struggle to find the paper (even though I just put 300 FREAKIN SHEETS in the tray), or they say color cartridge is out – even though I need a black and white print out.
Oh they know. They KNOW! (Sorry, got carried away). Focus. Focus.
Great TikTok – your printer as a person
First off, here’s the TikTok that started it all:
Printers are a pain in the butt – 3 stats to prove my point
- Frequent Malfunctions: Approximately 40% of IT help desk calls are related to printer issues, including paper jams, connection problems, and software glitches.
- High Cost of Ink: Printer ink is one of the most expensive liquids, costing up to $12,000 per gallon, leading to frustration over high maintenance costs for regular use.
- Obsolescence & Compatibility Issues: Over 25% of printer models become obsolete within a few years, making it challenging to find drivers and compatible cartridges, which forces users to frequently upgrade or replace their devices.
Ever seen a movie scene where someone is happy with the job the printer did at work? Or the freakin’ multi purpose printer/scanner/fax combo as seen in “Office Space”? **WARNING: some NSFW language**
And when you’re done with the printer, walk out of the office like Wesley did in “Wanted” with your keyboard
Top 10 Office Gripes – including your printer
Since we’re venting about printers, thought I’d share this list of “Office Gripes”

3. Coworkers talking too loudly.
4. Office gossip.
5. People who leave dirty dishes in the sink, or leave the office kitchen messy.
