What Is Record Store Day On Black Friday?

RSD Record Store Day Black Friday is found at independent record stores, not the big box stores—limited special editions, hopefully something for everyone. Also, the Mom & Pop independent store includes its special bargains in-house.

Record Store Day tends to be celebrated by limited edition releases/special pressings of vinyl records. These records are only available in-store and not online and can only be bought on that specific day. Not every shop will stock each release, so you'll need to check before you head out.

Screamin's Record Store Day Wish List Includes

The day after Thanksgiving, we will have some leftovers packed and in search of deals this year. Phill Collins LIVE RSD Boothleg. The Doors LIVE in Detroit, Duff McKagan, The Ramones, Sanatana. The one that I am most looking forward to grabbing is the Van Halen LIVE concert in Dallas, Texas.

A Van Halen free show happened because, during the Dallas date of the summer Monsters of Rock tour in 1988, Sammy came down sick and had a shot voice throughout that show. He apologized for that and promised to make it up to their Dallas fans later, which led to this free show.

Born in Mt Clemens, Screamin’ Scott has been a part of the Detroit airwaves for 30-plus years. With 40 years of experience in radio. When he’s not out on the streets for WCSX, you can find him devoting time to local charities with his, “Screamin Angels”; and for 16 years with Rock 4 Tots charity. And last 10 years with his local band, "Chit!." Screamin Scott likes to write about nostalgic Detroit area memories, classic rock, and local metro Detroit topics.
