Delicious Food Names For Pets – 2024 Trend
Pet owners: how did you arrive at your pets’ names? We have two cats that our daughter named when she was ten years-old… she named them after Mario princesses: Peach and Daisy. A new trend in pet names have food taking a much bigger chunk of the category. Food names for pets – your top runners in 2024 are Calzone for dogs and Provolone for cats. Now I want Italian for dinner.
Food Names For Pets According to Rover
According to Rover.com, the name Provolone is up more than 500% for cats and Calzone is up more than 200% for dogs. Additionally, the names Casserole, Dumpling, Burger, and Burrito have all been popular this year for cats. Personally, I would like to see Minnesota’s Hot Dish make an appearance for the kitties. For dogs, Poutine, Pastrami, Cauliflower, and Sardine have seen upticks.
Make no mistake, names like Charlie and Luna still top the overall lists for popularity on dog names and Milo and Luna top the kitty list, but food names for pets is definitely trending. Rock and Roll Pet Names
Rover got real specific. Names are broken down into multiple categories… there’s even a Rock and Roll category! Most of the names are trash, but I did find Ozzy Meowsbourne fairly amusing. Working off my own ideas, I feel like Joan Pett should have been on the list… Or Tom Petty. Freddie Purrcury could be a good one… John Paul Bones for a dog? 50% of my pets are named after food, but it wasn’t intentional. Peach as we discussed and my dog, Biscuit. Daisy and Chewy are the other half of our four-legged family members. I did an entire gallery of my dogs being lazy and another on the cats. Who doesn’t like looking at animal pictures? It’s chicken soup for the soul.
